ISO certifications

The following ISO certifications express UPM Raflatac's commitment to quality and the environment. They assure the high quality of our systems, products and services.

ISO 9001 Quality Management system

UPM Raflatac is in the process of gaining a single global certificate for ISO 9001. Our factories in Europe as well as in Changshu, China, Fletcher, NC, USA and Durban, South Africa are already part of the corporate certificate. Malaysia and Melbourne are already registered to ISO9001 and will be transferred to the group certificate during the fourth quarter of 2008. Work is ongoing in Dixon, with registration planned for the first quarter of 2009.  A new factory opens in Poland later in 2008, and plans are in place for registration during 2009. A corporate certificate demonstrates that our product quality and systems are globally consistent.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management system

UPM Raflatac’s European factories are certified to ISO 14001. This demonstrates a genuine commitment to improving our environmental performance, with regular assessment visits to ensure that the systems are followed and that objectives and targets to improve environmental performance are set and followed annually. During 2008 and 2009 this certification is being expanded worldwide.
