UPM Raflatac to participate in Label Summit Asia

At the summit, UPM Raflatac will be highlighting an extensive film offering created especially for personal and health care end-uses in the Asian market. UPM Raflatac’s Product Manager for films in the Asia-Pacific region, Mr Nasuf Culha, will be giving a presentation on ‘Product decoration technology trends and the qualification process’. He will be touching on emerging product decoration opportunities in health and beauty labelling, the comparative advantages of different technologies and best practices for product branding and differentiation.

New terminals for optimized service

UPM Raflatac is investing heavily in the Asia-Pacific labelling business. In August the company opened a new slitting and distribution terminal in Bangkok. The new terminal enables accelerated deliveries and optimized service for customers in Thailand. UPM Raflatac has also opened two other terminals in Asia earlier this year, one in Jakarta, Indonesia and one in Guangzhou, in the south of China. In addition to the new terminals, UPM Raflatac is building a world-class pressure sensitive labelstock production facility in Changshu, China. The factory will be opened at the beginning of 2007.
