Raflatac takes new position in the USA

At Labelexpo USA 2000, Raflatac demonstrated its commitment to the American market by showing the services and expertise that will be available from Raflatac's new factory in North Carolina, where production will commence in 2001.

Raflatac confirmed at the exhibition that construction of the company's first greenfield plant in the USA was well under way and progressing according to plan. The new factory will be highly automated and will exemplify the best in its class. The value of the investment is about $45 million.

The new factory represents the very latest production technology, demonstrating Raflatac's commitment to its customers' success. Through close cooperation, Raflatac wants to develop the business together with its customers in order to help both parties achieve their goals.

Labelexpo USA 2000 was held from 12-14 September at the Rosemount Convention Center, Illinois. Serving the narrow web converting industry in North America, the exhibition was one of the most successful and comprehensive of its kind, with a record number of almost 15,000 converting executives from around the globe. There were also a record number of almost 500 exhibitors.
