UPM Raflatac uses standard in-house developed supply chain management systems to coordinate material and customer order flow across all of our units. UPM Raflatac's global supply chain systems development and support team has IT professionals in four different countries (Finland, France, United Kingdom and the USA).
UPM Raflatac is deploying its supply chain applications globally with various investment projects. To ensure the further development, support and service level for these applications, UPM Raflatac is reinforcing IT supply chain systems expertise with a position in Fletcher, NC, USA.
UPM Raflatac is seeking an
IT Solution Expert, Supply Chain Applications
to work in a global IT development team, with a focus on UPM Raflatac supply chain systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for specific system modules used in UPM Raflatac integrated supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Developing supply chain management systems with large autonomy in line with business requirements
- Support for users of RafGO application
- Problem solving and escalation
- Implementing enhancements for RafGO application
- Participating in application development projects and roll-outs
- Programming with Progress tool set
- Participating in a global IT virtual team
- Ensuring the continuity and sharing of knowledge in operations
- Maintaining an effective application environment
- Other duties as assigned by Materials Planning & Finishing Manager
- Performing all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures
Position involves occasional travel internationally.
Professional and personal competencies:
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a BS in Information Technology, Computer Programming, Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 3 years practical application experience. Previous UNIX platform and prior experience and knowledge of applications development procedures required, preferably in a Progress Development environment. Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills required.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to a wide range of constituents, including the interest and ability to work in an international development team environment. Strong customer service orientation and skills required, including the ability to interpret concerns and analyze issues as a prerequisite to generating a solution. Must be able to function well as a member of a team. Previous project team experience preferred.
